Have you slapped a model today?
I just READ this article and really, really wish that I hadn't.
It made me want to punch Gisele in her perfectly six packed stomach.
I WILL NEVER by her damn flip flops again, no matter how nice they may be.
What an arrogant, know it all, incredibly stupid shmodel!
She may be one of the most beautiful woman in the world but she is a bit of a plank. She should seriously stick to smiling and waving.
Don't you just love woman who have been mothers for a whole few minutes but already know everything. To make matters worse they have no problem handing out advice to other terrified, nervous OMW a baby just came out of me....what do I do now mothers.
Take a read:
Supermodel Gisele Bundchen: breastfeeding should be made law
The Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen has said that mothers should be forced to breastfeed for the first six months of a baby's life.
Published: 2:42PM BST 02 Aug 2010
Gisele Bundchen believes mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months The catwalk star, who lives in the US, risked controversy by saying there should be a law preventing mothers from using formula milk.
The 30-year-old told Harper's Bazaar magazine: ''I think breastfeeding really helped (me keep my figure).
''Some people here (in the US) think they don't have to breastfeed, and I think 'Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?'
''I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.''
Her comments came after TV star Denise Van Outen said she gave up breastfeeding her daughter Betsy after less than a month because she did not want photographers to take pictures.
''I probably should have persevered a bit longer than three weeks,'' she said last month. ''But I can't be sitting in Starbucks and breastfeeding, because they (photographers) are taking pictures.''
Bundchen, the world's highest-paid supermodel, had a natural birth at her home in Boston in December after meditating throughout her eight-hour labour.
Bundchen, who is married to American football star Tom Brady, got up to make pancakes a day after her first child, son Benjamin Rein, was born and was modelling swimwear just six weeks later.
She said meditating every day prepared her for giving birth, telling Harper's Bazaar: ''It prepared me mentally and physically. It's called 'labour' not 'holiday' for a reason, and I knew that.
''You want to go into the most intense physical experience of your life unprepared? That doesn't make any sense to me.
''Then I was ready and I thought OK, let's get to work'. I wasn't expecting someone else to get the baby out of me.''
The one good thing that has come out of me reading the above is that I will try my best to not judge other mothers (I hang my head in shame as I to have been judgemental at times, fortunately most times I am to tired to care).
I want to try and support and encourage others not break them down. Being a mother is hard enough without dealing with OTM's. (Over The Top Mothers)
We and our children are all different and I truly believe that loving your child more than yourself will automatically make a great mother.
Breastfed fed Vs Bottle fed
Stay home moms Vs Working moms
Cloth Nappies Vs Disposable Nappies
Natural birth Vs Cesar
Drug free birth Vs Epidural
Cry it out Vs Rocking
Negotiation Vs Time out
Is this stuff really that important that it warrants such judgement?
Gee wizz it makes my mind boggle, if I look back to the day that I found out I was pregnant I think I have changed my mind about a million things a billion times.
Hahahaha nothing has gone strictly to my well thought out plans.
So for now I am going with my gut (winging it).
I will look after my family MY WAY and you look after yours YOUR WAY and we will get on just fine.

Leading A Horse To Water But Can't Make It Drink.
Feeling: Irritated
Okay so I am a fix it kinnda person.
If you have a problem, talk about it, feel sorry for yourself for a few days and then it is time to fix it....I am sorry to say this but it takes a lot for me to actually really and truly sympathise with someone who as far as I can see can fix the problem but seems totally unwilling to do so. I can only say aggg shame so many times!
For example if you have a headache take a tablet lie down for an hour and get over it. These people that hold their heads and moan for hours just grate me.
I think my lack of sympathy comes from the fact that I have friends, family and acquaintances who have real problems but they are making the most out of terrible situations. These people inspire me and make me thankful for what I have.As you may have guest someone really grated my carrot this morning!!
There is this obese woman at our gym lets call her Shamu. Before anyone who is caring a bit of extra junk in their trunk bites my head off...... I really don't care is someone is a bit squishy but come on you can be heavy, healthy and happy!
Shamu is a miserable person who has no reason to be...trust me I have known her my entire life.
She is also one of those people who is "allergic" to everything even avocado...BUT put a plate of fried, sugary, FATTY treats in front of her and she is fine........SURLY if you have allergies you need to eat well and be careful what you put in your mouth?
She claims she is allergic to lactose, nuts, avo BLAH BLAH BLAH...she also tell us ALL THE TIME about her sore knees, head, arms, wrists, knots in her back.......- NOTE TO SELF never ask her how she is ever again!
This morning while listening to her whinge this voice in my head kept saying..."well you are only about 5 Foot 2 and weight over 100Kg's, I am no doctor but there lies the problem.. so FIX IT!!!"
She pretends to gym...yes pretends, she kinnda hangs from the equipment and works her voice box..she never shuts up! Even on the cardio boards she kinnda flails around like a beached whale it seriously irritates me. If you are going to do something do it properly! She does not stick with anything and waddles into gym once maybe twice a week just for a moan it seems.
We all get the pleasure of watching her mess around while listening to her moan and give useless advice on supplements. Not only is Shamu allergic to everything but takes every supplement under the sun...carrot, beetroot supplements...what the.....why not just eat the healthy food?
Today I was quite snappy with her, I just could not help myself. She started carrying on at me about supplements! I calmly looked at her and said...Shamu why do you take all these pills when you eat unhealthy food...it is like ordering a waffle with ice-cream and chocolate sauce and then washing it all down with a diet coke...seriously what is the point?
Ahh haaaa I thought I had her and would shut her up.
She stops talking, blinks, takes a breath and says....
I never drink diet coke it is full of chemicals!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
(Excuse me.... I need a bathroom break to pull my hair out!)

Today I woke up feeling very dark and moody- GOTHIC!
All I wanted to do was hide under the covers and go back to sleep. I wanted the the world to leave me alone but duty called and I had to drag my miserable body out of bed. "Stomps feet, I don't wannnnaaaaa, whiny voice!"
To make matters worse I got stuck in traffic on the way to gym, I had a fight with a Harley Davidson driver who gave me the finger because I was trying to be polite and I have a HUGE hole in my back tooth which constantly aches. I have to go to the dentist tomorrow...fun fun. I have been avoiding this for months, if I eat on that side, it feels like someone has stuck a needle into my nerves. It is time to fix this but I am so nervous. I don't mind doctors but dentist are a different story. I will be taking my mom with for hand holding moral support. Yes, I am a baby.
I also woke up with YELLOW hair...yes yellow! I am so,so irritated. I wanted my hair to be bleached the colour of PINK'S hair...you know the rock singer! I LOVE her ash blond, silver, short hair...after TELLING my hairdresser that I did not want to see any yellow in my hair I walked out of the salon not that happy. I could see yellow but was not 100% sure... it was 18:30 on a Friday night, I was tired and just wanted to get home to Luke, so I left it. I do however think she knew it was not right because as I left she still told me that I may need more toner! Duhhhhh!
I have stared at the doo all weekend and after washing it last night I know it is not just me and this happy, sunflower colour is not what I paid for, it is most defiantly YELLOW, it has to go! I will be calling my hairdresser tomorrow to fix my hair, SIGH. I would do it today but they are closed on Mondays....what a pain! A pity my mood does not match my happy, yellow, sunny hair!
Okay to be honest all this stuff that I am moaning about is minor and can be fixed. My major upset is actually the fact that my baby is growing up so, so fast and while I definitely do celebrate his milestones...him cutting 2 teeth this past week has left a pain in my heart. He is no longer a toothless baby but is now well and truly on the road to becoming a little boy. It scares me how quickly this is all happening. Where is the time going and where am I, I feel lost?
I can't get my mind around how life is speeding by, I feel like I am standing on the platform and am missing the train! My months, weeks, days are staring to blur and I am having trouble remembering things. I feel all over the place and out of control. Luke's toofies were a huge wake up call, time waits for no man/woman.... I MUST take control again, slow down and look after myself better - my teeth are a classic example of me not looking after myself and leaving things! I can feel the depression sitting on my back, it is getting heavier and I need to fight it, keep it away.
I am hoping that by putting this post out there it will make me accountable and will help me to remember that I am also on this planet. This is my week. I will be reassessing what is truly important. I will put plans in place and will be moving forward.
I do hope that by doing this insead of just floating around and hoping for the best time will slow down and I can then celebrate Luke's milestones instead of feeling heart sore because there was just not enough time to enjoy every second.

Monday Moodiness!

Do you ever get Monday Moodiness?
I DO...Every Sunday at about 17:00 I get this sore knot in my stomach; I start to feel teary, irritable and anxious. I always have a bit of a Sunday evening wobbly- foetal position and all.
This has been happening since I started Grade 1. I really hated school – I hope that Luke has a different schooling experience. My first job at Standard Bank did not help... in fact it only worsened the situation.
I don’t like the start of a new week for a number of reasons:
I dislike getting back into routine- roooutinesshhhmmmootine BLAH.
I dislike leaving my Hubby for so many hours during the day.
I dislike having to get up early to fight traffic.
I dislike the rush.
I dislike the thought of what may be waiting for me at the office – remnants of my 2 years at Standard Bank – even though I now love my job, I still get that feeling of dread!
To make matters even worse I REALLY, REALLY dislike leaving my baby, King Luke – I miss him so much and feel terribly guilty even though he is at the best day care facility in Joburg .... NANNAS HOUSE!
I would give ANYTHING to be a stay home mom. Chris and I are working on this, we have a plan. I pray that by the time baby # 2 arrives my dream will become a reality. In the mean time I am doing the best I can – which in my opinion is not good enough.
I am however working on becoming a positive, happy Monday Mamma because at the end of the day this feeling too shall pass.
This is a brief version of my week every week..day in day out – Enough said:
01:00 am – Luke wakes mommy up for his feed – we are done and dusted in 15 minutes.
05:00 am – Daddy does Lukes 2nd feed – Done and dusted in 15 minutes.

06:00 am – The alarm clock goes off even though I feel like I just closed my eyes.
06:05/10/15 am – Still snoozing. I can hear the distant beeping.
06:15 am – Fetch Luke from his cot (a nappy change is essential) Let Shnooks out for a wee.

06:30 am – Make breakfast / lunches– eat it in bed with Chris, Shnooks and Luke.
07:00 am – Get dressed for Gym.
07:15 am – Load the car with a million bags, Shnooks and Luke.
07:20 am – Drive to mom’s house.
07:30 am – Drop off Luke and Shnooks with Nanna and GoGo. BIG KISSES goodbye. Nanna gives Luke Breakfast and a bath.
07:45 am – Arrive at the gym and work my butt off literally, LOL
08:45 am – Get dressed and put on face (JoBurg war) paint at the Gym.
09:00 am – Leave gym for work, 30 minute drive.
09:30 am – WORK
15:30 pm – Leave work – mad dash to Nannas- CANT WAIT to see my baby!
16:00 pm – Arrive at Moms House to mischievous smiles and an insanely happy to see me dog who wees on my foot. Play time with Luke Whoo Hoooo!
(I may stay at moms for dinner or go home...either way the routine is the same. Chris meets me either at home or at moms house).
17:00 pm – Lukes dinner time – hmmmm mush my favourite.
17:30 pm - Bath Time – daddy arrives home to much noise- YIPEEEEE!!

18:00 pm – Our dinner time – Luke starts to niggle for his bottle as I get my food – moms will understand this!
18:30 – Luke’s final bottle for the evening..wind down time.

19:00 – Luke’s bed time after a whole lotta rocking – I love it...holding him against me... bliss!
19:30 – Chris and my time.
21:00 – Collapse into bed!
STOP PLAY REPEAT!
Love M
